There’s still talk of Die Hard 5 going ahead (with shooting predicted to being later this year), but before Bruce Willis dons the white vest once more, or pops up as the bad guy in The Expendables 2, he’s due to star in another new action movie; as he’s recently signed on to appear in the upcoming vigilante thriller Fire With Fire.
Willis will be starring alongside Curtis Jackson (the Gun star better known as 50 Cent), and Josh Duhamel (Life As We Know It), in the film that follows a firefighter who enters the witness protection program in order to testify against a brutal criminal, before said criminal tracks his down and threatens his woman; forcing the usually straight-laced fireman to fight fire with fire (hence the title), and take the fight to the man he’s testifying against.
As of yet we’ve no word on which actor is lined up to play which character (though it’d be a fairly safe bet to assume Duhamel would be the fireman, and 50 Cent would play the criminal), but the film; which is due to be directed by David Barrett; is due to enter production next month, after the distribution rights have been sold (hopefully) at Cannes next week.
