Ride Along worked, Ride Along 2 should work, so why not do the exact same thing again next year? Kevin Hart clearly sees no need to change things up, as you can see in the brand new trailer for Ride Along 3 Central Intelligence below.
Appearing to do little more than mirror the Ride Along format, Central Intelligence sees Hart once again playing a fast-talking nervous nelly thrust into an investigation with a more serious and official type (this time with Furious 7 star Dwayne Johnson filling the slot taken by Ice Cube in Hart’s other films); playing the former high-school cool-kid who’s recruited by former high-school fatty turned CIA mega-operative (Johnson) to help him take down some goons.
Though while it may not seem all that original, there’s no denying the pair seem to have decent comic chemistry, and as they’re being backed up by a cast which includes the likes of Aaron Paul (Breaking Bad), Amy Ryan (Birman), and Ryan Hansen (G.I. Joe: Retaliation), Central Intelligence may still be worth a look when it’s released on June 17th in the US, before making its official UK release date on July 1st next year.
