We’d heard she was in talks to appear in the franchise, but now it’s official; Mad Max: Fury Road star Charlize Theron will be the Fast 8 villain.
There’s still no plot outline, and as such we don’t know exactly who Theron will be playing in the new Fast & Furious movie. Though it’d be reasonable to assume she does something to irk Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, and the rest of the Toretto ‘family’ – necessitating the driving of cars at an angry and aggressive pace.
Jason Statham, Dwayne Johnson, and Tyrese Gibson are all also set to return for the film which is due to be directed by F. Gary Gray (the Straight Outta Compton director who previously worked with Theron on 2003’s Italian Job), and will be released on April 14th 2017 in both the US and UK.
