In what will be the star’s first western movie since 3:10 to Yuma (back in 2007), Christian Bale has just signed on to appear in the upcoming western drama Hostiles.
Coming from Scott Cooper, the Out of the Furnace director who will be writing and directing, Hostiles will see Bale playing a American Army Captain who’s forced to put aside his hatred of Native Americans when he reluctantly agrees to transport a dying Cheyenne war chief and his family back to Montana (from New Mexico), happens across a widow who’s family was slaughtered, and is forced to help the small dysfunctional unit reach their destination at the despite the efforts of attacking Comanche tribes attempting to stop them.
