Telling the tale of a 50-year-old, self-diagnosed, nymphomanic, as she recounts her various sexual exploits through a series of eight flashback chapters covering the majority of her life, Nymphomaniac, the latest film fro Lars Von Trier (Melancholia), has just landed its latest star; Christian Slater.
Slater, best known for his roles in True Romance, Broken Arrow, and Prince of Thieves, but more recently seen in Dolan’s Cadillac, will appear not as one of the woman’s exploits, but as her father (in a flashback to her younger years), and will be seen on screen alongside Charlotte Gainsbourg (the Melancholia star who’s playing the titular nympho), Stellan Skarsgard (Thor), and Shia LaBeouf (Lawless) in the film which will apparently be released with both a hardcore and softcore version when it eventually meets ratings requirements.
