While Ryan Reynolds can currently be seen in cinemas with the brilliant Deadpool (read our full review here), he’s also just popped up in the trailer for Criminal; an action thriller co-starring Kevin Costner (Waterworld), Tommy-Lee Jones (The Fugitive), Gary Oldman (The Dark Knight), and Gal Gadot (the Triple 9/Furious 7 star soon to be seen as Wonder Woman in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice).
A thriller with a hugely interesting concept, Criminal sees Costner play a career criminal who attempts to avoid jail time by having the memories of a deceased CIA field agent implanted in his own mind; needless to say the transition doesn’t go as smoothly as expected, and consequences and bullets follow suit.
With a screenplay from Douglas Cook and David Weinberg (the men who gave us The Rock), Expendables‘ producer Avi Lerner on board, and The Iceman‘s Ariel Vroman in the director’s chair, Criminal should be well worth checking out when it’s released on April 15th in both the US and UK.
