After the success of Daredevil season one, the first of Marvel’s Netflix offerings and a brilliantly dark, gritty, and exceptionally well realised journey which stood in staunch opposition to the standard bright and cheerful superhero TV offerings we’ve been used to over the years, fans are understandably excited for season two, and it looks as though Netflix have rewarded said excitement by upping the ante, and delivering The Punisher; as seen in the brand new Daredevil Season 2 trailer below.
Charlie Cox will be returning as the blind lawyer/masked vigilante Daredevil, along with regular cohorts Deborah Ann Woll and Elden Henson, for a season which will see our hero (now fully costumed) facing off against Frank Caslte, aka The Punisher, in a clash of ideologies which looks to be not only extremely explosive, but hugely entertaining and thought-provoking.
bringing his well established talent for intensity, Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead, Fury) will star as Frank, and be joined by newcomer Elodie Yung (G.I. Joe: Retaliation) as Elektra, as well as a returning Rosario Dawson (the nurse who linked DD with Jessica Jones) when all 13 episodes of Daredevil Season Two are made available on Netflix, on March 18th (worldwide).
