After amazing audiences with its unexpectedly dark, gritty, and realistic tone (unlike anything else within the Marvel cinematic universe), the first season of Daredevil proved to be such a hit Netflix was bound to commission a second. They have, and you can now see the first official trailer for Daredevil Season 2 below.
Granted it’s short, and mainly plays on the success of its first season (where much of the footage comes from), there are brief glimpses of new major characters The Punisher (aka Frank Castle), and Elektra (played by The Walking Dead’s Jon Bernthal, and Elodie Yung respectively).
So far there’s no official launch date for the series (which will hopefully utilise the same model as season one; with every episode becoming available on day one), and little known about the plot (other than Charlie Cox’s Daredevil having trouble working out if he can trust the heavily armed, murder-happy, Punisher), though it’s predicted to arrive sometime in or around April next year.
