After quietly slipping onto VOD and getting a limited US release, the thriller Dark Places has some impressive talent both on and off screen, and will hopefully gain some more attention before its UK release next year – something which should be helped by the release of the brand new trailer below.
Starring Charlize Theron (Mad Max: Fury Road) as a woman who grew up an orphan after testifying against her brother (Ant-Man‘s Corey Stoll) in the murder of her family, Dark Places sees Libby (Theron) approached by a sleuth investigating the case (Nicholas Hoult, Kill Your Friends) who forces her to re-evaluate her version of events and uncover some dark secrets about the past.
Based on a novel by Gone Girl‘s Gillian Flynn, and with a cast that also includes Drea de Matteo (The Sopranos), Chloë Grace Moretz (The Equalizer), and Christina Hendricks (Drive), Dark Places is scheduled for release in the UK in February – in cinemas, digital download, blu-ray and DVD.
