Ricky Gervais is bringing his erstwhile Office persona David Brent back to life on the big screen, in the brand new spin-off movie David Brent: Life On The Road, the latest trailer for which can be seen below.
Providing more plot details, and a few more laughs, than the original teaser trailer, the new look at the film shows us how the former middle-manager has decided the travelling salesman gig isn’t all it’s cracked up to be, and chosen to headline a band (aptly named Foregone Conclusion); hiring himself some musicians, and a gifted rapper (Doc Brown), and setting out on a nationwide tour in the hopes of making his fortune.
Scripted by Gervais himself, David Brent: Life On The Road is due to be released on August 19th in the UK, and has already been picked up by Netflix in a number of other territories (including the US and Australia).
