Written and due to be directed by Todd Robinson (Lonely Hearts), the upcoming supernatural war movie Phantom has lost Ocean’s Eleven star Andy Garcia from its cast list, but will now see his former role; that of the leader of a Soviet special forces team (who are obviously on a secret mission); filled by The X-Files own David Duchovny.
Also starring Ed Harris (The Way Back) and William Fichtner (Drive Angry), Phantom takes place inside a Soviet submarine during the Cold War, and will find a Russian captain fighting to deal with both a rogue KGB unit, and an unknown supernatural force which is attempting to take control of the sub, when it’s released, on an as yet unconfirmed date, next year.
