We recently got a look at the first teaser trailer for Dredd; the upcoming adaptation of the classic 2000AD comics (which is looking to fully distance itself from the failed Sylvester Stallone movie Judge Dredd), and now a brand new clip from the film has been released online, and can be viewed below.
Showcasing a short scene in which Dredd (now played by Star Trek’s Karl Urban), and his rookie partner Cassandra Anderson (Olivia Thirlby, No Strings Attached), storm a drug den and attack a bunch of addicts high on fictional drug Slo-Mo, the clip gives us an idea of the style of the Pete Travis (Vantage Point) directed movie, which will find Judge Dredd and his partner trapped in, and storming, a 200-story tower block in order to judge drug baron Ma-Ma (Lena Headey, Game of Thrones).
Also co-starring Domhnall Gleeson (True Grit), Dredd is due to be released on September 7th in the UK, before making its official US release date on September 21st, and you can find the official trailer for the film here.
