It’s been a full 20 years since Dumb & Dumber first hit our cinema screens, and introduced audiences to the hapless duo of Harry and Lloyd, but they’re soon to be back in the upcoming comedy sequel Dumb And Dumber To; as seen in the newly released Dumb And Dumber To TV spot available to view below (followed by the full length trailer).
Apparently it’s been so long since we’ve seen them because Lloyd (Jim Carrey) has been playing the longest prank ever on his best friend Harry (Jeff Daniels), by pretending he was in a coma, but after finally coming clean the pair are whisked off on another dumbfounded adventure when they learn Harry’s a father, attempt to find his now fully-grown daughter, and Lloyd gets the hots for her.
Once more written by Peter and Bobby Farrelly (with co-writing credits belonging to Mike Cerrone, Sean Anders, John Morris and Bennett Yellin) Dumb And Dumber To will co-star Rob Riggle (22 Jump Street), Laurie Holden (The Walking Dead), Angela Kerecz (Nashville), and Kathleen Turner (Marley & Me), and will aim to win back fans of the original (many of whom were put off by the scandalous, non-Carey-and-Daniels-starring prequel Dumb and Dumber-er: When Harry Met Lloyd), when the Farrelly brothers’ Dumb And Dumber To is released on November 14th in the US, before making its official UK release date on December 19th.
