Obviously fitting the physical bill, the man who gave Vin Diesel a run for his money in Fast Five and has spent most of his adult life going by the name of The Rock (not only because he’s fairly dependable), Dwayne Johnson has now officially signed on to star as the legendary Greek God Hercules (who’s technically a Demi-God), in an upcoming Brett Ratner movie.
Tower Heist director Ratner will be helming the film which is to be based on Radical Studios’ Hercules: The Thracian Wars, and will see the Thracian king summoning the son of Zeus (Johnson, not Sam Worthington) and six of his warrior friends, so that they can train the Thracian army to become a truly formidable fighting force.
As of yet no other cast members have signed on, but with Ratner and Johnson already attached it shouldn’t be long before everything else falls into place, and Ratner can begin shooting early next year.
Matt Wheeldon.
