We know that the upcoming fourth film in the Jason Bourne franchise won’t be featuring Matt Damon as its titular hero again, but will instead follow a similar assassin (played by The Hurt Locker’s Jeremy Renner) who also has a few identity issues to resolve, and will be squaring up against the recently cast Edward Norton (American History X).
Aside from the fact he’s playing the film’s bad guy, there’s next to nothing known about Norton’s character, or the movie’s plot as a whole, but it is known that Tony Gilroy (writer of the three previous Bourne films) will be directing, Rachel Weisz (The Mummy) will also star, and that The Bourne Legacy will be released on August 3rd 2012 in the US, before hitting UK screens on August 17th 2012.
