Boasting a cast made up almost entirely of Academy Award winners and nominees, and coming from the studios that gave the world both The Twilight Saga and The Hunger Games franchise, the latest novel adaptation to come from Summit and Lionsgate is none other than Ender’s Game, the newly released trailer for which can now be seen below.
Ender’s Game is an epic sci-fi piece set in a world where humanity barely survived after being attacked by a race of alien insectoids (called Buggers), and people are busy preparing for the next wave of potential invaders; by testing children to see which of them might become the next generation of brilliant battlefield commanders, and throwing them head first into the war.
Directed by Gavin Hood (X-Men Origins: Wolverine), Ender’s Game stars Asa Butterfield (Hugo), Hailee Steinfeld (True Grit), Harrison Ford (Cowboys & Aliens), Ben Kingsley (Iron Man 3), Abigail Breslin (Zombieland), and Viola Davis (Trust), and is due to be released on October 25th in the UK, before making its official US release date on November 1st.
