Clearly not skimping on the cast-list once again, Sylvester Stallone’s band of Expendables will soon be back with another throwback action ensemble with The Expendables 3, and you can now see the first official Expendables 3 trailer below, followed by a collection of character posters for the film (each of which can be clicked to enlarge).
With the latest action-heavy nostalgia-fest revolving around the Expendables being targeted by a man they once called a friend, a man who helped co-found the original group of Expendables, and a man who has not only turned to arms dealing, but is played by Mel Gibson (How I Spent My Summer Vacation), and it potentially being the last outing for the group (given the trailer says this will be the Expendables’ “Last Ride”), we’re sure to be in for a whole heap of guns, explosions, fistfights, and then some.
With series regulars Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Terry Crews, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Randy Couture, and Arnold Schwarzenegger, being joined this time by Antonio Banderas (Assassins), Wesley Snipes (Demolition Man), Kelsey Grammer (Frasier), Kellan Lutz (The Legend of Hercules), MMA fighter Ronda Rousey, and Harisson Ford (Cowboys & Aliens), The Expendables 3 has been directed by Patrick Hughes (the Red Hill director who’s attached to the remake of The Raid), from a Sylvester Stallone story scripted by Stallone and Olympus Has Fallen writers Creighton Rothenberger and Katrin Benedikt, and is due to be released on August 15th both the US and UK.
