With three films already in the bag, and more on the way, Expendables’ frontman and PR Guru Sylvester Stallone still has more plans for the ageing action-hero ensemble, and will soon be bringing The Expendables to TV, thanks to a planned “event series” (in a similar vein to the recently revived 24) on US TV network Fox.
Stallone and longtime Expendables producer Avi Lerner, as well as studio home Lionsgate, are behind the new deal which, being a television affair, will not bring the bankable movie star names we’re used to seeing on the Expendables‘ crowded posters (no Schwarzenegger, Statham, Lundgren, Crews, etc.) but likely come with a crop of old-school TV action talent as well as some current TV action types and real-life fighters, when the series eventually lands.
So far there’s not even been talk of a wish list of potential stars, but who would you like to see join The Expendables TV show – David Hasslehoff? Mr. T? Scott Bakula? Lou Ferrigno? Dennis Waterman? As always you can let us know in the comments section below.
