Forgetting the previous two movies, Fox has decided to reboot the Fantastic Four film franchise and bring us another origin story which the studio has so far managed to keep shrouded in secrecy (something of a marvel in this day and age), at least until now; as they’ve just released the first official Fantastic Four teaser trailer online (now available to view below).
Whilst it certainly lives up to the name ‘teaser’, the new trailer does give us a glimpse of a world which is starkly different to that of the previous movies, and should do something to alleviate the growing concerns of fans who were beginning to question why they were yet to see any footage.
Starring Miles teller (Whiplash), Kate Mara (127 Hours), Michael B. Jordan (Fruitvale Station), and Jamie Bell (Tintin) as the members of The Fantastic Four (Mr Fantastic, The Invisible Woman, Johnny Storm, and The Thing respectively), and Toby Kebbell (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes) as their nemesis Doctor Doom, the Josh Trank (Chronicle) directed Fantastic Four is due to be released on August 6th in the UK, before making its official US release date the following day, on August 7th.
