After the hugely, and rather surprising, success of Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes, fans have been eagerly awaiting the upcoming sequel, Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes, and with the imminent release of the simians’ sci-fi sequel, below you can now take a look at the final Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes trailer.
Set some time after the events of Rise, after a virus (known as Simian Flu) has ravaged the human population across the globe, the apes, still led by Caesar (once more portrayed by Andy Serkis, in motion capture form), are attempting to form their own primitive society, alongside a trimmed down group of humans who aren’t all entirely convinced a peace could, or should, be found between the two species.
Co-starring Jason Clarke (Lawless), Gary Oldman (The Dark Knight Rises), and Toby Kebbell (RocknRolla) mo-capping Caesar’s fellow ape Koba, with other parts being picked up by Keri Russell (Mission: Impossible III), Kodi Smit-McPhee (The Road), and Judy Greer (Carrie), Dawn Of The Planet Of The Apes is due to be released on July 11th in the US, before making its official UK release date on July 17th.
