We’ve already seen the first official picture of Batman (available below), and we’re recently teased with an image of Henry Cavill on set as Clark Kent (on the right), but now Warner Bros. have given us the first look at Henry Cavill as Superman in Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, via the picture at the bottom of this article (beneath Batman).
While the image could really have been taken straight from Man of Steel (given the fact Kal-El’s look doesn’t really change all that much), it suggests, much like the image of Ben Affleck’s (Argo) Batman, that there could be a fairly dark theme running through the upcoming superhero crossover; which director Zack Snyder (Man of Steel) tells us will feature “a crusty old Batman beating the snot out of guys.”
As well as Affleck and Cavill, Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice will feature Gal Gadot (Fast & Furious 6) as Wonder Woman, Jason Momoa (Game of Thrones) as Aquaman, while Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, and Diane Lane will all reprise their roles from Man of Steel (as Lois Lane, Perry White, and Martha Kent respectively), and further roles of Alfred and Lex Luthor will be filled by Jeremy Irons (Die Hard: With a Vengeance) and Jesse Eisenberg (Zombieland) respectively, in the Zack Snyder directed movie which is due to be released on April 29th 2016 in the UK, before making its official US release date on May 6th 2016.
