Following on from the recent stringy drip-feed of casting announcements, and possible now filming is finally underway, director Guy Ritchie (the Sherlock Holmes director who’ll soon be bringing The Man From U.N.C.L.E to multiplexes everywhere*) has just Tweeted the first image of Charlie Hunnam (Sons Of Anarchy) in character in King Arthur (now available to view below); headlining Ricthie’s upcoming films, Knights Of The Round Table: King Arthur.
Astrid Bergès-Frisbey (Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides) is set to star as Hunnam’s Guinevere, with Eric Bana (Deliver Us From Evil) starring as Arthur’s father, Djimon Hounsou (Guardians of the Galaxy) appearing as Arthur’s mentor Sir Bedivere, and Jude Law (Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows) locking down the part of the villain, in the film which Warner Bros. hope could spawn a potential six-film franchise, following Knights’ July 22nd 2016 release date.
