Many fans and onlookers praised the decision to hire Stephen Amell (best known as TV star/comic-book hero Arrow on The CW) as comic-book vigilante Casey Jones for the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel, and now, thanks to producer Michael Bay, we have the first official look at Amell in character (via the Tweet on the right, and full size pic below).
Seen here sporting the classic hockey-mask look fans are used too seeing with Jones (albeit without the long hair), Amell will be joining the ranks of Leonardo (Pete Ploszek), Donatello (Jeremy Howard), Raphael (Alan Ritchson), and Michelangelo (Noel Fisher), as well as reporter April O’Neil (recently seen in a number of on-set photos with star Megan Fox dressed as a schoolgirl – for a scene in which April goes undercover) in the Dave Green (Earth to Echo) directed film which will once again see the heroes in a half-shell tackling the Shredder in a bid to save their city.
Laura Linney (The Truman Show) recently joined the cast and will appear alongside returning stars William Fichtner, Will Arnett, and Danny Woodburn when Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 is released on June 3rd next year in both the US and UK.
As always, let us know what you think of the new Casey Jones, and the prospects for the upcoming Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 as a whole, in the comments section below.
