The latest young-adult novel series working its way onto the big screen (following in the successes of The Hunger Games, and Maze Runner) has just had its first trailer released online, and you can now watch The 5th Wave official trailer below.
Starring Chloe Grace Moretz (Kick-Ass, The Equalizer) as a young woman who manages to survive the first four waves of an alien invasion of Earth (power outage, disasters, diseases, invasion), and finds herself facing The 5th Wave; a planned mass attack to wipe out the few remaining survivors; all while hoping to rescue her younger brother.
Co-starring Liev Schreiber (Ray Donovan), Ron Livingston (the Office Space star last seen in Vacation), Mario Bello (A History of Violence), Maika Monroe (It Follows), Maggie Siff (Sons of Anarchy), and Terry Serpico (The Departed), The 5th Wave is due to be released on January 15th in the US, before making its official UK release date on January 22nd.
