Directed by Back to the Future’s Robert Zemeckis, and boasting an all-star cast that includes the likes of Denzel Washington (Safe House), John Goodman (Roseanne), Don Cheadle (Iron Man 2), and James badge Dale (The Departed), Flight recently had its first trailer released online; a trailer which is now available to view below.
Denzel Washington heads the cast as pilot Whip Whitaker; a man who finds a routine flight go awry when his plane begins to fall apart and enter a nose-dive at 30,000 feet, leading him to attempt an extremely daring move that saves almost everyone involved, and become an overnight hero.
Though Whip’s heroic status is short-lived, as the investigation into the crash quickly uncovers his personal demons, the fact he had alcohol in his blood at the time of the crash, and leads to not only a huge media frenzy, but meetings with lawyers, and the possibility of life in prison.
Scripted by John Gatins (Real Steel), and also starring Melissa Leo (The Fighter), Bruce Greenwood (Star Trek), and Kelly Reilly (Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows), Flight is due to be released on November 2nd in the US, but unfortunately won’t be making its UK release date until January 25th 2013.
