Now classified as something of a cult hit among horror fans, the 1985 horror/comedy movie Fright Night has undergone the Hollywood remake treatment, and as we’ve already had a look at the official trailer, we’ve now been treated to a dark, gripping, and fairly uncomfortable clip from the film (now available to view below).
The newly released clip features the film’s vampire, Jerry Dandridge (Colin Farrell, The Way Back), having a very intense conversation with the film’s troubled teen, Charley Brewster (Anton Yelchin, Terminator Salvation), and informing him of all the thoughts his been having regarding Charley’s mother (Toni Collette, The Sixth Sense), and girlfriend (Imogen Poots, Centurion).
Also staring Superbad’s Christopher Mintz-Plasse; as Charley’s best friend ‘Evil’ Ed; Fright Night follows Charley as he ropes in the help of an over-the-top magician (David Tennant, Doctor Who); to aid him fighting his new neighbour Jerry (who he suspects might be a little more dangerous than your average kidnapper/murderer), and has a US release date of August 19th and UK release date of September 2nd.
