Infamous London gangsters Ronnie and Reggie Kray (more widely referred to as either ‘The Krays’ or ‘The Kray Twins’) are set to be the subject of an upcoming thriller once again (following the 1990 film The Krays; which saw Spandau Ballet’s brothers Martin Kemp and Gary Kemp playing the infamous racketeers); as seen in the brand new full length trailer for Legend (now available to view below).
This time the Krays twins will be played by Tom Hardy (with Mad Max: Fury Road star picking up the roles of both brothers), in the Brian Helgeland (Robin Hood) written and directed film which charts the rise of the pair who used violence, intimidation, and a number of bold moves to control East London in the ’50s and ’60s.
Co-starring Emily Browning (Sucker Punch), Taron Egerton (Kingsman: The Secret Service), Paul Bettany (Avengers: Age of Ultron), Christopher Eccleston (Dr. Who), David Thewlis (Dragonheart), and Tara Fitzgerald (Exodus: Gods and Kings), Legend is due to be released on September 9th in the UK, before making its official US release date on October 2nd.
