Since directing the seventh Fast & Furious movie (reviewed here, and officially known as Furious 7 in the UK), the fastest film to ever break the billion dollar barrier, James Wan can basically pick whatever Hollywood project he wants to direct. He’s already working on The Conjuring 2, but appears to be sticking with the low-key horrors which gave him his initial success; now adding a remake of 1982 horror classic The Entity to his roster.
Due to be scripted by Chad and Carey Hayes (The Conjuring), the remake will once again be based on the true story of a single mother abused by a relentless demon, and the psychiatrist who was reluctant to attach a supernatural label to her predicament. As of yet there’s no official release date scheduled.
