Game of Thrones Final Episode Preview

It’s been an epic journey so far, through the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros, on HBO’s Games of Thrones; the series based on George R. R. Martin’s, ‘Song of Ice and Fire’, fantasy novels; but now as the first season approaches in final episode, HBO have given fans a short preview of the finale; which can now be seen below.

Having gained a massive and extremely loyal fanbase in it’s relatively short run, Game of Thrones is a highly political show set in a medieval fantasy land, revolving around the struggle for power, and the attempts of the various Lords and Ladys who wish to control the Iron Throne that rules over the various kingdoms; and the deals they make, the plans they hatch, and the wars they start in order to acquire the power they so desperately crave.

Games of Thrones stars a predominantly British cast; which includes Sean Bean (The Lord of the Rings), Mark Addy (The Full Monty), Aidan Gillen (The Wire), Emilia Clarke (Triassic Attack), and Michelle Fairley (The Others), alongside Jason Momoa (Stargate: Atlantis), Lena Heady (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles), and Peter Dinklage (Death at a Funeral); has been filmed mainly in Northern Ireland, and unlike most American-made TV shows has thankfully been airing in the UK (on Sky Atlantic) the day after airing on HBO in the US.

The season finale is scheduled to air on HBO this coming Sunday (June 19th) at 9pm, and cross over the pond to be screened on Sky Atlantic on Monday June 20th (also at 9pm), but fans looking to see a clip of what we can expect need only to watch the trailer below, and be thankful that Game of Thrones has already been confirmed for a second season; which will premiere around this time next year, and also consist of a ten episode run (rather than the 13 most fans were hoping for).
