With barely a month left to go before the hotly anticipated second season of HBO’s Game of Thrones hits our screens, the good (well, market-savvy) people at HBO have released a full trailer for the upcoming second season (now available to view below); which is due to hit our screens in April.
With returning stars including the now award-winning Peter Dinklage (Death at a Funeral), Lena Headey (Sarah Connor Chronicles), Jack Gleeson (Batman Begins) Emilia Clarke (Triassic Attack), Kit Harrington (Silent Hill: Revelation), Charles Dance (Last Action Hero), and Ron Donachie (Titanic) now being joined by newcomers such as Liam Cunnigham (The Guard) and Natalie Dormer (The Tudors), Season 2 promises to be one to watch, and looks full of all the intrigue, action, and thrilling suspense you’d hope to see, and now expect, from a series adapted from George R. R. Martin’s best-selling novels.
Featuring a war that embroils five kings, spreads throughout the land, and brings an exiled princess home, fans are eagerly awaiting the new series, with the knowledge that winter is coming, and dragons will soon light the skies, when Game of Thrones season 2 airs on April 1st in the US (on HBO) and on April 2nd in the UK (on Sky Atlantic).
