Without delving into spoilers for those who haven’t caught up with season 4 yet (Sky/NowTV customers can now do so as the On Demand services have added all four seasons to their listings from March 1st), Game Of Thrones Season 5 is the most hotly anticipated TV event of the year and in order to pique interest even further HBO have just released two brand new clips from the show (available to view below), and a new poster (on the right, click to view full size).
Best on George R.R. Martin’s epic series of best selling novels (A Song Of Ice And Fire) Game Of Thrones is the sprawling HBO drama set in the fictional fantasy land of Westeros, where great families scheme and plot their way towards conquering the covered Iron Throne and laying claim to the dominion of the Seven Kingdoms, and has become one of the most watched shows in the world in the fours years it’s been on our screens.
After the tumultuous events of season 4, season 5 will see the kingdoms in a time of great change and imbalance, introduce viewers to more of the Dornish families we came to know in the fourth season, and take many of most beloved key characters to entirely new places (quite literally) when it premieres on April 12th in the US (on HBO), one day ahead of the UK airing; on April 13th (via Sky Atlantic.
