A hugely anticipated, and very well received, TV series, HBO’s Game of Thrones (which is based on the fantasy novels, A Song of Ice and Fire, by George R. R. Martin) was renewed for a second season a mere two days after its premiere, and has just had its first promo video for its upcoming second season released online (now available to view below).
With extremely high production values, an exceptionally well realized world, and an array of well crafted and engaging characters, George R. R. Martin’s novels have been brilliantly recreated by the team behind the show; who tease both new characters and an expanded world in the newly released trailer.
Lena Headey (Sarah Connor Chronicles), Peter Dinklage (Death at a Funeral), Jack Gleeson (Batman Begins), Emilia Clarke (Triassic Attack), Kit Harrington (who’ll soon be seen in Silent Hill: Revelation), Charles Dance (Last Action Hero), and Ron Donachie (Titanic), are among the returning actors who will be joined in season two by a number of newcomers; including Liam Cunningham (The Guard), and Natalie Dormer (The Tudors).
Currently in production in Northern Ireland (with a number of other locations across Europe being used), Game of Thrones Season Two will premiere next april on HBO in the US, and on Sky Atlantic in the UK.
