After passing on the sequel to The Hunger Games (despite the wishes of studio-heads and many fans) director Gary Ross has just lined up his next project; a Peter Pan prequel called Peter And The Starcatchers.
After the success of The Hunger Games allowed him the oppourtunity to make a number of highly sought after movies, Ross has now settled for this adaptation of Berry and Pearson’s 2004 book (which has already been turned into a successful play), which will follow a young Pan as he goes on an adventure with his friends, and attempts to keep a magical trunk away from the evil pirate Black ‘Stache’ Moustache.
As the script hasn’t been finished yet, no names have been added to the cast list, and a budget hasn’t even been decided on, there’s still no official release date, or start date, for Peter And The Starcatchers, though Ross is hoping to being filming next year.
