Regarded as one of the best, most captivating, and thoroughly exciting football players the UK has ever produced, Paul Gascoigne has had an undeniably eventful time in the limelight, and now BAFTA Award-winning writer/director Jane Preston (Graffiti Wars) brings us Gascoigne; a feature film, told by the man himself.
With revealing contributions from Gary Lineker, Jose Mourinho and Wayne Rooney, Gascoigne tells the remarkable tale of the man who rose to prominence playing for his hometown club of Newcastle, but captured the heart of the nation during the 1990 World Cup in Italy.
Alongside Lineker, Mourinho and Rooney, Paul gives his own recollection of the stories behind his inspired play on the pitch and the personal struggles and controversies off it, and entering cinemas for one night only (next Monday, on June 8th) this wonderfully insightful documentary will not only be simultaneously screened at 158 sites across the UK, but include a live Q&A from panellists Stuart Pearce, Henry Winter, Pete Davies and Paul Gascoigne.
