While the first movie didn’t exactly set the world alight with excitement, the upcoming Ghost Rider reboot/sequel (Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance) looks to be taking the franchise to a whole new level, in terms of humour and crazy antics (something which is to be expected seen as how it’s been directed by Crank’s Mark Neveldine and Brian Taylor), and has just had its second trailer released online (now available to view below).
Once again, starring Nicolas Cage (National Treasure) as the titular Ghost Rider (a motorcycle stunt man named Johnny Blaze who transforms into the demon with the flaming skull at night), Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance sends our hero out to Eastern Europe to prevent the coming of the anti-Christ (something everyone wants to avoid).
Idirs Elba (The Wire), Ciaran Hinds (Rome), Christopher Lamber (Highlander), Anthony Head (Buffy the Vampire Slayer), and Violante Placido (The American) co-star in the film which is due to be released on February 17th in both the US and UK.
