After director Steven Soderbergh saw her impressive MMA skills, and subsequently built an action movie around her; letting her headline the recently released Haywire; Gina Carano has now moved on, and will soon star in the upcoming action/thriller In The Blood.
Written by Bennett Yellin and James Robert Johnston (the pair behind Joy Ride 2: Dead Ahead), and due to be directed by John Stockwell (Blue Crush), In The Blood will find a wife chasing down the people who have kidnapped (and presumably killed) her husband while they were on holiday in the Caribbean.
In The Blood will enter production later this year in Puerto Rico, and, according to Stockwell, “will showcase not only Gina’s fighting skills, but also her acting abilities (as her character struggles to reign in her violent past)” when it’s released next year (presumably).
