While we’ve still seen surprisingly little of the gigantic beast who’s soon to be terrorising the US, we’ve just been gifted with the latest poster for the upcoming Gareth Edwards disaster movie Godzilla; which can be seen on the below, along with the film’s official trailer (which is available to view beneath the new poster).
Coming from the Monsters‘ director, this latest take on the Classic Japanese monster flick will not be a sequel to the Roland Emmerich version from the ’90s, but a wholly new version of the tale in which a gigantic lizard suddenly decides it’s time to move to the city (much to the dismay of the locals, and the ton council).
Starting Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass), Elizabeth Olsen (Red Lights), and Breaking Bad‘s Bryan Cranston, Godzilla is due to make its official release date on May 16th in both the US and UK.
