It may be hard to believe but Goldfinger, widely regarded as one of the best James Bond films ever made, is now celebrating its 50th anniversary (yes, it was originally released way back in 1964), and in order to celebrate this momentous anniversary we have two clips from the new Blu-ray release of the film available to view below.
Starring Sean Connery as the enigmatic ladies man, MI6 agent, and all-round super-spy James Bond, Goldfinger was based on the novel of the same name by Bond creator Ian Fleming, and features the martini-drinking Bond investigating a gold magnate smuggling ring, and uncovering a plot to contaminate the Fort Knox gold reserve.
With one of the most memorable Bond cars ever seen on screen, an effortless performance by Sean Connery, some of the most memorable scenes in Bond’s history (the laser table being a prime example), and one of the most amusingly brilliant Bond villains of all time (the hat-throwing Oddjob), Goldfinger is must-own Bond, the very definition of a classic James Bond movie, and is now available to own in a Limited Edition gold SteelBook™ Blu-ray.
