Whilst it still rests very comfortably within the rumour mill, news has been brewing which suggests Disney are not only planning on brining everyone’s favourite, wise-cracking, whip-cracking, fedora-wearing, adventurer Indiana Jones back to the big screen, but they’re planning on rebooting the franchise, and have their eye on a new leading man; Chris Pratt.
Pratt, best known for his role in last year’s monster hit Guardians of the Galaxy, will soon be seen in the upcoming Jurassic Park reboot (Jurassic World), and hasn’t actually been confirmed as yet; in fact the reboot itself hasn’t actually been confirmed; back in 2013, when Disney purchased the rights to the franchise from Paramount, there was rumours of Harrison Ford returning for a fifth outing.
Scheduling conflicts could pose a problem anyway, as Pratt’s not only due to promote Jurassic World soon, but shoot The Magnificent Seven remake, and return for the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel (slated for release in 2017), but it’s still an interesting prospect, and one which has many people divided; can anyone replace Ford? Should they? And do we really need to see Pratt playing yet another version of Indiana Jones (as his Guardians character, and potentially Jurassic World character, share a number of traits with Jones)?
Less us know what you think in the comments section below; would you watch Chris’s Pratt as Indiana Jones?
