After calming down from his initial strop (following the leaking of his latest script), and announcing to a Comic-Con audience that he was going to make The Hateful Eight after all, Quentin Tarantino seems to have thrown himself into the work, and is already planning on debuting the first Hateful Eight teaser trailer with Sin City 2.
Yes, if you go and see Sin City 2 at the cinema you will get the first official look at Tarantino’s next western (and if his last, Django Unchained, was anything to go by, it should be a good one); something which shouldn’t come as a huge surprise, given the closeness of Tarantino and Sin City director Robert Rodriguez.
Filming on The Hateful Eight is yet to begin, so any teaser will be extremely teasing in nature, and unlikely to contain any footage from the final film; a movie which currently boasts a cast list comprising of Kurt Russell (Death Proof), Tim Roth (Reservoir Dogs), Samuel L. Jackson (Pulp Fiction), Michael Madsen (Reservoir Dogs), Bruce Dern (Django Unchained), Walton Goggins (Django Unchained), James Remar (Django Unchained), Amber Tamblyn (Django Unchained), and Zoë Bell (Inglorious Basterds).
To give it its full title, Sin City: A Dame To Kill For is due to be released on August 22nd in the US, before making its official UK release date on August 25th, and although there’s no official shooting schedule for The Hateful Eight been announced an early 2015 start would be a good bet (given the December 2015 release date).
