After receiving a limited release earlier this year, black comedy The Voices (which proved to be a hit at last year’s Sundance Film Festival) will soon be making its way onto home media; as Arrow Films recently announced the official release date for The Voices.
Scheduled for July 13th, and available on Blu-ray, DVD, and Steelbook (exclusive to Zavvi, and picture below the official trailer), the Ryan Reynolds (The Change-Up) comedy follows a hapless but yet likeable guy who just so happens to talk to his pets (a psychopathic cat, and peace-loving dog), hear them talk back to him, and sometimes carries out their murderous instructions.
Written by Michael R. Perry (Paranormal Activity 2), and co-starring Gemma Arterton (Clash of the Titans), Anna Kendrick (Pitch Perfect), and Jacki Weaver (Silver Linings Playbook), with Reynolds himself providing the voices of the animals he hears, The Voices is available to pre-order now, and will come to Blu-ray, DVD, and Steelbook with interviews, deleted/extended scenes, and additional featurettes (as well as two Blu-ray exclusives; including a look Behind The Scenes) when it’s officially released on Monday July 13th.
