From the director of Alvin and the Chipmunks, and the creators of Despicable Me, comes Hop; an animated comedy about what would happen if the soon-to-be-crowned Easter Bunny decided to relinquish his duties as the bringer of chocolate and candy, and instead try to further his career as a drummer.
Mixing live-action and animation, Hop places the animated Easter Bunny (voiced by Forgetting Sarah Marshall’s Russell Brand) under the car of a waster named Fred (James Marsden, Death at a Funeral 2010); as the result of an unfortunate accident that throws the unlikely pair together, sees Fred taking on the Easterly duties, and the two squabbling roommates forming an ever-lasting friendship.
Due to be released in time for Easter to roll around, Hop will be bouncing its way into cinemas on April the 1st; in both the U.S. and U.K.; but for now, the film’s official trailer can be seen below, and the original teaser trailer (which simply features an amusing, Dairy Milk style, animation) can be found here.
