As bonkers comedy concepts go 2010’s Hot Tub Time Machine was right up there; following a group of friend’s who got blind-drunk, partied in a hot tub, and woke ip in the ‘80s (giving them a chance to change their humdrum lives), and after proving the ludicrous concept could be a hit, the boys will soon be back for the sequel; as seen in the Hot Tub Time Machine 2 official trailer below.
Despite a notably absent John Cusack, the rest of the gang; Rob Coddry, Craig Robinson, and Clark Duke; have come back to the future where Lou (Coddry) is now a billionaire who claims to be ‘the father of the internet’, but gets gunned down by an unknown assailant, causing the trio to revisit the hot tub time machine for another time-travelling adventure (which this time sends them into the future), in an attempt to save Lou’s life, and his manhood.
Written by original Hot Tub scribe Josh Heald, and also directed by original Hot Tub helmer Steve Pink, the second outing will co-star returning actors Chevy Chase, Collette Wolfe, and Kelle Stewart, and is due to be released on Christmas Day (December 25th) in the US, before making its official UK release date on Boxing Day (December 26th).
