We’ve only just heard that HBO have officially extended their Game of Thrones run (taking the world’s most popular show to “at least” eight seasons), and now have even more good news for fans; as Ian McShane has just joined the cast in an unknown, but “key” role in the show’s upcoming sixth season.
While Entertainment Weekly report McShane will only have a small amount of screen time, it’s nevertheless exciting to see the veteran actor reunited with HBO after his fantastic turn as saloon-owner Al Swearengen in the network’s western show Deadwood.
Game of Thrones Season Six is filming right now (numerous rumours have already begun surfacing from the Belfast set), and the 10 episode season will debut next spring.
