Based on an intriguing idea that places the hero in a futuristic world where nobody ages past the age of 25 (at least physically), and all currency has been replaced with time left to live, the upcoming sci-fi/actioner from writer/director Andrew Niccol (The Truman Show) recently had its international trailer released online; which can now be seen below.
Starring singer-turned-actor Justin Timberlake as a ghetto kid who goes from living day-to-day, to suddenly being gifted an exuberant amount of time from a wealthy benefactor, In Time follows the young man as he kidnaps a wealthy young woman (Amanda Seyfried, Chloe), and decides to bring down the system, by stealing time and giving it away to the poor and needy (in a very Robin Hood fashion), whilst he’s being pursued by the time police (namely Inception’s Cillian Murphy), and just about everyone else who wants to either grab his time, or ensure that he doesn’t upset the system.
With a cast-list that also includes the likes of Olivia Wilde (Cowboys & Aliens) and Alex Pettyfer (I Am Number Four), In Time is due to be released on October 28th in the US, before making its way onto UK cinema screens on November 1st.
