Less of a trailer and more a summary of the entire movie, the clip for the upcoming sci-fi movie In Time (previously known as I’m.mortal) was shown at this year’s Comic-Con, and depicts a futuristic world where money has faded out of existence, and time has become the ultimate currency; as everyone is genetically engineered to die when they’re 25-years-old.
In time stars Justin Timberlake (The Road) as a ghetto kid named Will, who’s living day by day; working to earn enough hours to make it to the next day, and begrudging spending 4 minutes of his life to buy a coffee; but soon becomes the target of a murder investigation when a wealthy man gives him over a century to live, before committing suicide, causing him to go on the run from the time police, take a hostage, and eventually plan to bring down the corrupt system that sees the wealthy living forever, and the poorer people struggling to survive the day.
Co-starring Cillian Murphy (Inception); as the Timekeeper tasked with tracker down Timberlake’s Will; Olivia Wilde (Tron: Legacy); as Will’s mother; Amanda Seyfried (Chloe); as his hostage-turned-accomplice; and Alex Pettyfer (I Am Number Four), In Time has been written and directed by Andrew Niccol (The Truman Show), and is due to be released on October 28th in the US, before making its UK release date on November 1st.
