Meryl Streep reunites with Mamma Mia director Phyllida Lloyd to headline the upcoming Margaret Thatcher biopic The Iron Lady; which has just had it’s first trailer released online (now available to view below).
Co-starring Jim Broadbent (Bridget Jones’ Diary); as Thatcher’s other half; the film focusses on the political career of Britain’s first and only female Prime Minister; upon whom political opinion remains firmly divided; and also features appearances from Richard E. Grant (Dracula), and Anthony Head (Buffy the Vampire Slayer).
The film has been produced by Pathe, Film 4, and the UK Film Council, and is due to be released in the US on December 16th, before making its UK release date on January 6th 2012.
