After Jared Harris made an impressive turn as Sherlock Holmes’ equally clever arch-nemesis in Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, and Hammer (the classic British horror studio) recently had a huge success with the release of The Woman Black (which already has a sequel in development), the pair are now teaming up for the upcoming horror/thriller The Quiet Ones.
Harris will take the lead in The Quiet Ones, once again starring as a rather unsavoury professor who convinces his students to take part in his latest experiments; attempting to summon a poltergeist from negative human energy; and finds that things don’t exactly go to plan for any of them.
The Quiet Ones is inspired by real events, and director John Pogue (Quarrantine 2) has said “Jared has the perfect blend of charisma, intelligence, and wit that the part of Professor Coupland demands” and that he’s “excited to watch him bring the role to life” when filming begins this coming June.
