Despite his big screen action outings often receiving a rather lacklustre reception (see Conan the Barbarian, or Bullet To The Head), there’s a lot of love and hope for Jason Momoa in the Good Film Guide office, which is why we were pleased to hear the future Aquaman star has been cast in upcoming action/thriller Braven.
Based on an original story by Mike Nillon, Braven will see Momoa star as a lumberjack working the border between the US and Canda, who finds his life turned upside down when a gang of ruthless drug dealers choose to make his quiet piece of home the prime spot for their drug running operations (with deadly consequences).
No release date has been set (as rights holders Highland Film Group will be trying to sell the film at the Toronto Film Festival next week), but anyone looking to see more of Momoa can do by looking out for upcoming films Sugar Mountain, The Bad Batch, and Going Under, as well as Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice (which is due to feature Momoa’s Aquaman making a cameo).
