Coming from The Bourne Identity, and Edge of Tomorrow, director Doug Liman, Amazon Studios’ upcoming Iraq War thriller looks to be a gripping and extremely tense affair; as seen by The Wall official trailer below.
Starring John Cena (he of WWE fame) and Aaron Taylor-Johnson (Kick-Ass) as two US soldiers who come under fire, and quickly find themselves pinned down by an extremely proficient Iraqi sniper, The Wall‘s bottleneck premise promises a great deal of tension; especially when the sniper begins to contact them by radio, and they realise they’re not only trapped in a deadly game of cat-nad-mouse, but racing against the clock before they both bleed out from their wounds.
Written by relative unknown Dwain Worrell, The Wall actually wound up on the Black List’s notable collection of the year’s best unproduced screenplays in 2014, meaning it should be well worth checking out when it makes its 10 March 2017 US release date (sadly no official UK release date has been announced so far).
